JENSEN BEACH, Fla. — A handyman is facing a murder charge after the body of a missing Florida woman was found in a septic tank buried in her own backyard, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

34-year-old Keoki Hilo Demich was charged with second-degree murder after the body believed to be 57-year-old Cynthia cole was found in the septic tank of her Jensen Beach home on February 25, investigators said.

After hours of excavating Cole’s backyard, the body was found submerged in the contents of the septic tank about 4 feet underground.

A short time later, detectives located and arrested Demich who worked as a handyman for Cole, according to MCSO.
