A tragedy has occurred during a gymnastics competition, in which an Indian athlete paralyzed himself by landing on his neck that in turn led to a spinal cord injury. Consequently, he became immobile which put an end to his career. This put him on the wheelchair for the rest of his life. Since this incident, this move has been banned in gymnastics.
