Dias D'Ávila, Salvador, Bahia, 10.27.23.

A charred body found by police has been confirmed by her husband as that of gospel singer Sara Mariano, who had been missing for three days.

Sara left her neighborhood home in Valéria, Salvador, to go to religious events, according to her husband. Ederlan Mariano told the family that he did not know exactly which church his wife went to. He came to the crime scene and said he found his wife's ring and sandals.

Sara's sister calls bullshit on her brother-in-law. His story "doesn't add up. She always had a full schedule to go out of Salvador and praise. Her husband didn't tell me anything, he said he doesn't know what the church is, he doesn't have the address, only the city." Sara's mother Delores doesn't buy it, either.

The singer, who has more than 50,000 followers on one of her social media profiles, told her mother Dolores that she would make an important decision on the day she disappeared. However, she did not say what she would do.

The mother said her daughter reported some fights she had with her husband before she disappeared. "What I knew about Sara's relationship with Ederlan was that it wasn't good. She even told me that she couldn't take it anymore and even said: 'Mom, I'm going to make a decision, which I didn't want to make because I spoke before God, until death do us part, but it's very impossible,'" Dolores said.

Sara was 35. She and Ederlan have an 11-year-old daughter. They ran "TV Shalom", an internet channel that has 256,000 subscribers and produces content aimed at evangelicals.

Ederlan says Sara's cell phone chip was deactivated two days before she was found, which makes it difficult to contact and search. He also said that Sara had never disappeared, and stated that he had no recent fights with her. When asked by a journalist about a possible fundraising campaign that he would have done on social networks to help discover his wife's whereabouts, the businessman abandoned the interview. It's not looking good for hubby.

"She had the voice of an angel," said Sister Teresa Fuckyou, custodian at the Sisters of the Perpetual Hoochiemama nunnery. "Like an angel being dipped into a cauldron of boiling oil. Glad I don't have to hear that shit anymore."

Under investigation. No suspects (but we know who did it).
