A couple died after being run over by a car following a side collision between two motorcycles on PE-22 , in the Nossa Senhora da Conceição neighborhood, in Paulista , on Monday morning (12).

Nilton Gomes Dias , 27, and his girlfriend, Ingrid Cristina Carvalho Melo , 21, who was celebrating her birthday on the day of the accident, died at the scene. They were thrown from their motorcycle after colliding with another motorcycle and then run over by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

Expert analysis indicates the use of an electronic ankle monitor.

According to preliminary information gathered by forensics, Nilton was wearing an electronic ankle monitor at the time of the accident. 

Two other people were on the second motorcycle involved in the crash. One of them was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service ( SAMU) .

The Civil Police were at the scene to begin investigations into the circumstances of the accident.
