While trying to avoid a pothole, the driver of a truck lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into two parked vehicles, also injuring an equal number of people who had the misfortune of crossing his path. The unfortunate accident occurred this Thursday afternoon, when the driver of the white Nissan type unit was traveling on Pénjamo Street from west to east, between Chihuahua and Durango in the Miguel Hidalgo neighborhood in Ciudad Madero. While trying to avoid a pothole, he braked suddenly and swerved, causing the unit to go out of control and crash into a black Chevrolet Chevy car and a blue Volkswagen Jetta of late models that were in a static position. The accident became more serious because a pedestrian was injured in his legs when he was trapped between the vehicles, while another who was on the sidewalk was also hit, both being treated by Red Cross personnel. The area was cordoned off by the traffic elements who were in charge of becoming aware of these events, proceeding to secure the unit responsible for this accident, against the responsibility that results from the driver.
