On the afternoon of Tuesday, October 15, a man died during an operation by the Investigative Police ( PDI ) in the commune of Mulchén , Biobío region , after trying to ram four police officers with a vehicle.

The incident occurred in the town of Bureo , in the context of an anti-drug operation . In the middle of the operation, a car allegedly tried to run over the officers, which led one of the officers to use his service weapon.

The Head of the Biobío Provincial Prefecture, Prefect Raúl Erazo, explained that the shot hit one of the vehicle's occupants, who was taken to the hospital in the municipality, where he finally died . Meanwhile, four officials were injured .
