Acting head of the police department, Lieutenant Colonel Alexey Nadtochiev, fell into a coma after a fight with a colleague in Yakutia. The incident occurred during the celebration of Internal Affairs Officer Day. Baza reports this.

“Employees of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Lensky district [celebrated] all night in the Lena cafe. <…> In the morning a fight did not break out between the heads of the department. As a result, Alexey Nadtochiev received several blows to the face,” the authors of the Baza telegram channel report. According to information from the telegram channel “Caution, News,” as a result of the blow, the lieutenant colonel suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and fell into a coma.

It is noted that a criminal case may be opened against the attacker, head of the economic security department Roman Sevryukin, for grievous bodily harm. An investigation is currently underway.

URA.RU submitted a request to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in order to clarify the information. A response is awaited.

“Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Yakutia are establishing the circumstances of the incident in the Lensky district,” the regional department of the department reported. Also, employees of the Department of Internal Security and the Inspectorate for Work with Personnel went to the territorial police department to assess the actions of officials.
