A little Charred story.

IIiiiiiieeeeeee!

I worked with a guy doing executive protection. He had worked for a Mexican businessman in Mexico City. Seeing a carjacker get blasted in a clip reminded me of his story.

He and a partner worked a fortified villa in Mexico City. Mexicans didn't and don't trust other Mexicans to protect them and their families so they import security form the US and other countries.

They had just finished their shift and wee driving in a company SUV to a home the team was renting.

They rolled up to a traffic light and, out of nowhere, a criminal stuck a gun in the driver's face and demanded the car. Both EP guys were armed and shot the criminal in the face and shot the shit out of his backup criminal too!

They sped to their rented house and called their Mexican employer. It was like 10 pm and the employer said he would check into the matter and call them back. An hour later, their employer said they were in deep shit. "Pack what you can't live without and haul ass to the airport." They were on the next plane to anywhere in the US they could get tickets to right then and there.

They called their employer when they landed. He told them he had paid the homicide detectives $10,000 but that their Mexico days were over for the rest of their lives. The crew members that worked opposite them, hung around until replacements for the whole US crew could be found and then their Mexico privileges were revoked too.

This just goes to show what a few kind words, a 45 pistol and $10,000 can get you! :-)
