Group of thieves targeted a small liquor store on Cerro Palomas 186 Street on New Year’s Eve. They entered the shop, locked the door behind them, and never had any intention of paying for anything. Instead, they forced the 28-year-old shop assistant, Guadalupe López Álvarez, into the back room, where they cold-bloodedly murdered her – even though she offered no resistance. Using a small knife, they slit her throat and left her to drown in her own blood.
