A factory worker in the United States has posted a series of images of what happened to her after a workplace accident.

The woman's long hair got caught in an electric roller conveyor, causing her scalp to peel off, and when she reflexively put her hand in the conveyor, her thumb was also torn off.

Despite multiple surgeries, the scalp and thumb could not be reconstructed, and the woman will have to live without her hair and thumb for the rest of her life.

"It's better to be alive than not," she said. "I'll still get dick, too, from the kaotic trolls who never upload anything."
