It is hard to believe that Alexey is an amateur photographer. Just look at these close-up photographs of snowflakes and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. The level of precision and clarity he achieved with home equipment is incredible.

It is said that no two snowflakes are alike, and Alexey's photographs prove just that: they are intricate shapes that look like miniature pieces of glass cut by a high-precision laser beam. At no time do we realize the fragility of the snowflakes that could melt in seconds.
