WASHINGTON (ABC7) — A man has been arrested after being accused of stabbing four people Saturday during protests in D.C., Metropolitan Police announced Sunday.

Officers arrested 29-year-old Phillip Johnson, of Northwest D.C., for assault with a dangerous weapon.

Johnson was one of the 33 people D.C. police arrested during the protests between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

All four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities identified the victims of the stabbing as Franklin Todd Gregory, of McMinnville, Tennessee, Corey Owen Nielsen, of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Jeremy Bertino, of Locust, North Carolina, and Gregory Lyons, who doesn't have an address listed in the police report.

Investigators say police working during the First Amendment demonstrations responded to the report of a fight in progress Saturday.

Officers located Gregory, Nielsen, Bertino, and Lyons suffering from stab wounds and one of the victims allegedly identified Johnson as the suspect who stabbed them.

According to a police report, further investigation revealed a video from the New York Post allegedly showing an individual push another person in the back at which point the suspect pulled out a knife. The individual pulled on the suspect's mask and two people punched the suspect repeatedly in the head.
