well it isn't shocking though, because almost all 'reality TV' shows are doctored (fake or scripted or voting is rigged or inconsequential.. like for talent shows or Bigg Boss/ Bigg Brother).

it is good that he has learned to appeal to a worldwide audience and is almost accent neutral.
as a non native 'English' speaker, i'm find it easier when people do not have a thick regional accent. Though it also makes for interesting bits. (like when we had to have high tea with one co-worker's going to be in-laws (real Scottish) and most of the time we could barely understand half the words!)
some accents like the Yorkshire accent or this Lancashire one> are fascinating
